In all our years of doing this work, we haven’t yet found a “typical” client. We work with introverts and extroverts, artists, entrepreneurs, management, emerging leaders and seasoned execs, folks at the bottom, middle and top of the org chart (or not on the chart at all). Our organizational clients include non-profits, social enterprises, start-ups and well-established companies looking to up their game.
Our approach is values-based (Caroline’s include Collaboration, Joy & Pride; Aaron’s include Connection, Courage & Creativity) and holistic, meaning we deal with the whole person – intellect, emotions, relationships, and even (or perhaps especially) the physical body. We believe that who we are is as important as what we do.

Annette Rizzo
With over 20 years of organizational development, strategic planning, team building, leadership development, training, and facilitation experience, Annette is motivated by helping organizations evolve and grow while coaching their people to thrive. Her scientific roots lend a unique analytical perspective to change management, while her diversity, equity, and inclusion experience guides more innovative and equitable approaches to organizational change design. For Annette, coaching is a creative process that requires a two-way relationship of trust, active listening, powerful questioning and a willingness to try on new things – exploring together how you are doing things, to dig deeper and assess if the how and the why align with the who you want to be as a leader and as a person.
Anna Claussen
Anna’s coaching practice is rooted in curiosity, deep listening, and a belief that leadership begins with knowing oneself in relation to others, community, and place. She was raised on a Minnesota farm and shaped by work across civic leadership, design, and community organizing. Anna approaches coaching as both a reflective and creative process, slowing things down enough to notice patterns—how you lead, what informs your decisions, and the values that quietly guide your work. Anna believes that coaching is not about prescribing answers, it is about creating the conditions for insight, courage, and experimentation. Through thoughtful dialogue, powerful questions, and practical reflection, her clients try on new practices in real time—observing what works, what shifts, and what becomes newly possible.
